This warmup painting was to test creating a printable tabloid size image on my phone. The Galaxy Note 9 handled it well. Granted I only used one layer; so, next time I’ll really have to test it out using multiple layers. Click here to watch it being painted.

I had Steven Universe on in the background while I was working and the Red Eye episode was on. There was a pinkeye joke and that got me started on this daily doodle. It kind of took over my day. I didn’t work everyone into it, but I think I got the gist.

First day of Star Wars Celebration was amazing. Watched the digital simulcast presentation of J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy. There was a live, working BB-8 Droid, R2, a platoon of the new stormtroopers and they showed the new trailer twice! Later, when I was cracked out in the hotel elevator, puppeteer and actor Tim Rose, who plays Admiral Ackbar, introduced himself as Admiral Ackbar. I wanted to freak out but I was, and am, so out of it. He was very nice! So if you read this Mr. Rose- thank you! Have a good night kind people.
