A commission of Nightwing. My list for Wondercon is open.
I have loved drawing superheroes almost my entire life. If you follow this blog, you’ve seen me mess around with Superman’s design. This was floating in my head. The S isn’t quite right yet, but I wanted to get down this idea of the chevron design across the shoulder and chest area. It’s a composite of different outfits. I think Superman is a character that should be at the forefront of DC’s storytelling right now because the backstory, the crux of the character, is so within the zeitgeist of what’s happening worldwide.
It’s been a crazy year and I have many people to thank, but especially #TeamPablo . This is a sketch request from one of my original art tiers. It’s for one if my friends from high school. I hope it fulfills her request 😁
I think this one will be fun. It’s a little McFarlane and Jock inspired.
Last year, my most requested commission was Zatanna. Would it be fair to guess we’ll see her again?
I’ll be at table BB-10 again this year. My commission still has spots so feel free to message me.
Got to work out my background for this. Since it’s roller derby themed, I’m going to do it like an event flyer.
Trying to keep order on things getting done. Working through coloring Pablo. I have storyboards to get to, posters to finish laying out like this one, blank covers to start working on, and more comics being made. I’m contemplating cutting back on this blog.
If you’re in Los Angeles, don’t forget to find me this weekend at the Comic Bug’s Free Comic Book Day Extravaganza!
I started this awhile back, but I thought I’d block in more color as I take a break from coloring.
I did a Morpheus/ Dream commission last year at Rose City Comic Con and it’s been lingering in my mind. I don’t draw Morpheus or Death a lot because I haven’t read either yet so I can’t honestly say I have a good feel for the beloved characters. Thought I’d try this punk-inspired rendition. I feel like the original character designs draw from the post punk and goth rock visuals of the Cure and Bauhaus. So what if we started the look a little earlier?
Ice cold… with Mr. Freeze. I went soft focus on this. Click to watch the timelapse of this digital painting warmup.
